Welcome to XantiaV6.co.uk
Welcome to a little website for owners of the Citroen Xantia V6. Perhaps the most under-rated car ever made by Citroen. Something of a "Q" car in similar vein to the Xantia Activa, it can be a wolf in sheeps clothing!
A rare Series 1 V6 Xantia
This site is very much under construction at this time and will soon contain some useful technical articles on those tasks unique to the V6 such as engine removal, overhauling (and repairing) the gearbox and replacing the timing belt. All these jobs, except deep gearbox work, are not as hard as they may look. Day to day I run a MK1 Xantia V6. A fine car that is rather underestimated and a "well kept secret". They are seriously good and surprisingly frugal on petrol for a 3 litre automatic!
In the time I have owned my V6, and several other Xantias, including two Activas, there is little I have not done on them. Eveything on this site is my own work carried out in my small workshop. The Xantia V6 really is not a scary car to look after and repair.
I'm a frequent contributor to the
French Car Forum (link opposite), the essential resource for all Xantia owners including us V6 owners and on there you will find a good few of us with a great deal of combined V6 knowledge. Other excellent forums you may wish to visit are the
BX Club and
Club-XM. On all these forums you'll find a warm welcome and much help.
